3i Infrastructure plc completes investment in the Lefdal Mine Datacenter campus

3i Infrastructure plc (“3i Infrastructure” or the “Company”) has completed its c.€263 million investment in Lefdal Mine Datacenter (“LMD”), a highly efficient Norwegian data centre campus with significant growth potential. As previously announced, the transaction includes a small portfolio of operating renewable assets.

The initial investment in LMD was announced on 11 March 2026 and completed on 28 August 2026. A majority stake was acquired from a fund managed by Columbia Threadneedle Investments. The largest investor in that fund reinvested alongside 3i Infrastructure.

A further stake in LMD was acquired from a minority investor at a price in line with the terms of the initial investment. This additional investment completed on 2 September 2026 and was funded by new third-party co-investors managed by 3i Investments plc (“3i”), the Company’s Investment Manager.

Following completion, 3i manages 90% of the equity in LMD. Of this, 3i Infrastructure holds just over 45%, and third-party co-investors managed by 3i hold approximately 45%. The existing minority investor elected to retain 10% in LMD.

In addition, 3i Infrastructure has committed a further €19 million of available funding alongside the same amount from third-party co-investors.
